Balance sheet impact

With closed-end and open-end leasing, the asset appears on the lessee's own books, on the balance sheet. With long-term rental, under Hungarian accounting rules it stays off-balance-sheet.

Risk allocation

With open-end leasing, the residual value and operating risk stays entirely with the client. With long-term rental, the lessor may carry this risk instead.

This calculator covers new passenger cars only, not vans, trucks or semi-trailers, and works with a Hungarian forint (HUF) purchase price.
